Avacado Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 Hass avocado (4 1⁄2 ounces)
1⁄2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1⁄2 cups dark brown sugar
2 large eggs, at room temperature
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon coarse salt
1⁄2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1⁄2 cups old-fashioned rolled oats
1 3/4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
