Saturday Nights

Our Saturday Nights Service starts at 6:00 pm every Saturday, and usually goes till about 7:30 pm.  We have a time of singing worship where a couple different worship teams, as well as guest worship teams, lead worship and rotate different weeks.  It definitely is a very laid back atmosphere with some darker lighting and stage lighting.  Currently, we are in a series on Miracles where we are talking about the miracles of Jesus, as well as, praying for and believing in miracles in our own lives.  We love to optimize different media through the use of announcement videos, as well as communication through social media.

We have a nursery and a Saturday Nights Kids ministry for kids up to 12 where they spend time learning about Jesus and get to understand that lesson played out in different activities.

Please feel free and welcome to stop by and join us, we would love for you to spend a portion of your Saturday night with us and we can talk in person and answer any questions you may have.  You could always watch the service live or recorded through our website
www.thecrosssaves.org, at the top of the page click on "live stream" and click on the Saturday night file.

Thank you so much for your interest in Saturday Nights; hopefully we will see you soon!

GriefShare is a nondenominational program open to all and designed for people who have lost a spouse, child, family member or friend.  Facing the death of a loved one can be challenging, painful, lonely, and even, confusing.  Society often tells us to “hurry up, and get over it,” but grief cannot be rushed.  To experience healing, restoration, and to move forward, we have to walk through and process it.  Whether your loss is recent or years ago, Grief Share is designed to help you do that.

Grief Share is a 13 week class for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one.  We offer a safe, confidential place to share and process grief, and to embark on a journey of healing.  Meetings include a video seminar and group discussion; a workbook is provided for note-taking and journaling.  The videos feature experts on grief recovery and real-life stories of people who have also experienced loss.  They are followed by discussion to help process what you’ve heard.

For more information or to register please call (216)759-0968 or send an e-mail to Charleen at hillcrestcommunitygriefgroup@gmail.com.

Lutheran West February Open House - A Personalized Walking Tour

The event is open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders and their parents. The Open House will be a personalized campus walking tour, designed to give you the opportunity to talk with Lutheran West staff about any questions you may have specific to your child.

Tours will depart on the half hour beginning at 4:30 p.m. The tour will be conducted by a staff member and a student so you can hear different perspectives concerning what Lutheran West has to offer. Our desire is to meet the needs of individual students so we want to keep the tours small and personal. This is a casual and informative event, with the fun of a $25 Applebee’s gift card drawing each hour.  Do you have questions about:
v Completing an admission application?
v Applying for tuition assistance?
v Class scheduling options?
v Transportation?
Bring your questions to the event, along with any paperwork you may be working on.  We will be glad to help you!

Come to learn more about The Honors Academy at Lutheran West.  It is a prestigious program that includes college tours as early as the Freshmen year, influential monthly lectures by community leaders, service and internship opportunities, ACT and SAT test prep complimented with challenging academic requirements.

The campus tour will include the 500 seat Jochum Performing Arts Center recently completed under the Unleash the Spirit capital campaign. This same campaign funded a newly turfed football/soccer field and baseball infield.

With the chance to learn about Lutheran West’s many extra-curricular activities and the unique nurturing environment, this is truly an opportunity not to be missed. Please mark your calendars and join us for an informative evening!

Lutheran West will also be hosting basketball games the evening of February 10, including Freshmen, JV and Varsity teams.  If you have time, please plan to stay for a basketball game.
