Saturday Nights

Our Saturday Nights Service starts at 6:00 pm every Saturday, and usually goes till about 7:30 pm.  We have a time of singing worship where a couple different worship teams, as well as guest worship teams, lead worship and rotate different weeks.  It definitely is a very laid back atmosphere with some darker lighting and stage lighting.  Currently, we are in a series on Miracles where we are talking about the miracles of Jesus, as well as, praying for and believing in miracles in our own lives.  We love to optimize different media through the use of announcement videos, as well as communication through social media.

We have a nursery and a Saturday Nights Kids ministry for kids up to 12 where they spend time learning about Jesus and get to understand that lesson played out in different activities.

Please feel free and welcome to stop by and join us, we would love for you to spend a portion of your Saturday night with us and we can talk in person and answer any questions you may have.  You could always watch the service live or recorded through our website
www.thecrosssaves.org, at the top of the page click on "live stream" and click on the Saturday night file.

Thank you so much for your interest in Saturday Nights; hopefully we will see you soon!

GriefShare

GriefShare is a nondenominational program open to all and designed for people who have lost a spouse, child, family member or friend.  Facing the death of a loved one can be challenging, painful, lonely, and even, confusing.  Society often tells us to “hurry up, and get over it,” but grief cannot be rushed.  To experience healing, restoration, and to move forward, we have to walk through and process it.  Whether your loss is recent or years ago, Grief Share is designed to help you do that.

Grief Share is a 13 week class for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one.  We offer a safe, confidential place to share and process grief, and to embark on a journey of healing.  Meetings include a video seminar and group discussion; a workbook is provided for note-taking and journaling.  The videos feature experts on grief recovery and real-life stories of people who have also experienced loss.  They are followed by discussion to help process what you’ve heard.

For more information or to register please call (216)759-0968 or send an e-mail to Charleen at hillcrestcommunitygriefgroup@gmail.com.

GriefShare at The Chapel

Have you experienced the death of a spouse, child, family member, or friend?
Those who have experienced the death of a loved one often find that there are not many people who understand the deep hurt they feel. This can be a confusing time when those experiencing loss feel isolated and have many questions about things they have never faced before.

GriefShare is for adults and meets weekly for 14 weeks in the spring at the Akron Campus and 14 weeks in the fall at the Green Campus to help those facing these challenges and help them move toward rebuilding their lives.

Participants are welcome to join any time during the 14-week period. Our next GriefShare group begins Tuesday,  February 17th, at 6:45pm at the Akron Campus room 202.

Celebration of Life

Celebration of life can mean many things and be expressed in different ways for different people.

It honors the ceremonies and relationships within our lives. The birth of a child, marriage to the love of your life, new inner growth and change…are all opportunities to bring people together.  These are the things that make up the fabric of our lives.

It’s also an attitude. It is about being grateful for what life has given you, the people who have come into your life and the people who have left your life. All people you meet leave an imprint on the fabric of your life.

Often we hear that it is the little things that matter the most. The largeness or smallness of what is to be honored is up to you.

A CELEBRATION might be in order when you have been promoted on your job. Or for not taking another drink or using drugs. Or for the day that you gave your life to Christ.

These events make up the pattern of our very existence and serve as reminders of the struggles and joys we have experienced.

So let’s come together and share in our joys and CELEBRATE LIFE!
Rejoice with those who rejoice [sharing others' joy]... Romans 12:15(a) Amplified Version

St Luke’s Ministries 2nd Annual Community Egg Hunt
Copley, OH, :  Over 6000 plastic Easter eggs are up for grabs in the yard of St. Luke’s Ministries Community Easter Egg Hunt.   This year the egg hunt will happen on Saturday, April 4th from 1:00pm – 3:00pm (or until the eggs run out) and features free face painting, appearances by the Easter Bunny, and raffle prizes.

St. Luke’s Easter Egg hunt is a more laid back atmosphere.
