The Best-Known Name in Gospel Music History

The "Blackwood Brothers Quartet" was formed in 1934 with brothers Roy, Doyle, James and Roy's, son R.W.

That heritage of gospel music is carried on today as James' younger son Billy, along with tenor Wayne Little and bass singer Butch Owens and lead voice of Mike Helwig re-create that famous Blackwood sound.

Saturday Nights

Our Saturday Nights Service starts at 6:00 pm every Saturday, and usually goes till about 7:30 pm.  We have a time of singing worship where a couple different worship teams, as well as guest worship teams, lead worship and rotate different weeks.  It definitely is a very laid back atmosphere with some darker lighting and stage lighting.  Currently, we are in a series on Miracles where we are talking about the miracles of Jesus, as well as, praying for and believing in miracles in our own lives.  We love to optimize different media through the use of announcement videos, as well as communication through social media.

We have a nursery and a Saturday Nights Kids ministry for kids up to 12 where they spend time learning about Jesus and get to understand that lesson played out in different activities.

Please feel free and welcome to stop by and join us, we would love for you to spend a portion of your Saturday night with us and we can talk in person and answer any questions you may have.  You could always watch the service live or recorded through our website
www.thecrosssaves.org, at the top of the page click on "live stream" and click on the Saturday night file.

Thank you so much for your interest in Saturday Nights; hopefully we will see you soon!

Blue Christmas Holiday Grief Service at ABT

So many times we hear… “Since our loved one died, the holidays just are not the same. If only there was some way to remember and honor the love we shared”. We agree, and that is why we are inviting you to a special time to do just that.

Blue Christmas is a worship service being planned for December 6 in the ABT Temple worship center, and will be filled with remembrance and hope. It is a time especially for all who are missing loved ones this holiday season. Whether that loss is recent or in the past, you may be looking for a way to honor them. Perhaps you have lost a parent, spouse, or a child. Maybe there has been a stillbirth or miscarriage. Or perhaps your loss has been another relative or a good friend. This service will be a way for you to remember any and all of those who are special to you that have passed away.

While you may just choose to attend Blue Christmas, there are a couple of additional opportunities during the service that are planned to bring special and personalized remembrances of your lost loved ones.

A personalized candle with your loved one’s name can be purchased. This candle will be lit during the service as their picture or name is shown (see #2 below). The candle will then be available for you to take home afterwards. You may leave the $5 fee and your loved one’s name at the ABT Office.
Even if you choose not to purchase a personalized candle, we would still like to recognize your loved one by showing a picture and/or listing their name. There is no cost for this. There are two ways to help us prepare to do this:

- For the picture presentation, send a digital picture and your loved one’s name to Dave Davenport: dd@abt316.com

We encourage you to bring your family and friends to Blue Christmas and find a safe and comforting place to honor those you have loved. Through music, testimonies, and God’s comfort and love, you will be able to experience first hand the peace that can come to your holiday season this year. We will be honored to share this time with you.

For additional information about Blue Christmas, email dd@abt316.com or call ABT at 330-745-8824.

Please use the main entrance or Door 1A.

GriefShare

GriefShare is a nondenominational program open to all and designed for people who have lost a spouse, child, family member or friend.  Facing the death of a loved one can be challenging, painful, lonely, and even, confusing.  Society often tells us to “hurry up, and get over it,” but grief cannot be rushed.  To experience healing, restoration, and to move forward, we have to walk through and process it.  Whether your loss is recent or years ago, Grief Share is designed to help you do that.

Grief Share is a 13 week class for adults who have experienced the death of a loved one.  We offer a safe, confidential place to share and process grief, and to embark on a journey of healing.  Meetings include a video seminar and group discussion; a workbook is provided for note-taking and journaling.  The videos feature experts on grief recovery and real-life stories of people who have also experienced loss.  They are followed by discussion to help process what you’ve heard.

For more information or to register please call (216)759-0968 or send an e-mail to Charleen at hillcrestcommunitygriefgroup@gmail.com.
