The Mom Squad at 95-5 the Fish is putting a team together to participate in the Wigs For Kids 9th Annual Zoo Walk & Run at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo. Come join us for this very worthwhile cause!
Why? Over 2 million children are affected by hair loss due to cancer treatment, auto immune diseases or other medical issues. And it has an absolutely devastating effect!
When children lose their hair, they don’t just suffer physically. The change in their appearance can drastically undermine their self-image and sabotage their self-esteem.
Wigs For Kids provides custom-made hair replacements for children who are struggling with hair loss. Each hair replacement system is made from human hair and hand-tied to look just like the child’s own hair. It doesn’t come off on the baseball field, playground or gymnastics competition. Most people would not even guess the child has a hair loss problem when wearing one of these hair replacements. It sure makes a difference in the child’s attitude and outlook on life!!
The neat thing is…WFK never charges the families who have a child with hair loss for these custom-made hair replacement systems. BUT the fact is, it costs $1800 to create each one for a child in need.
Help us restore the confidence of ONE child who is suffering from hair loss. Participate on TEAM FISH in the Wigs for Kids Annual Zoo 5K Run / 1 mile Fun Walk!
Our goal is to have a minimum of 18 people on our team who can each collect and/or provide $100 in donations to Wigs For Kids. When you arrive at the Wigs For Kids event on July 26 at Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, you’ll receive a $100 gift card from a local restaurant for FREE to thank you for your effort.
