Gibsonburg

Underdog baseball team wins 6 games and loses 17 games in the regular season.  In a magical way, the team wins 8 games in a row to become the first high school baseball team, in any state, to win a state championship with a losing record.

Gibsonburg is based on the true story of a high school baseball team that had a regular season record of 6 wins and 17 losses in 2005.  During the regular season they lost 13 games in a row, were mercy ruled 7 times, and lost the last game of the season by a score of 17 to 0.  In a magical way, their first year coach got his same team to win 8 post season games in a row which took them to the state championship.  No team, in any state, has ever won a state championship with a losing record.  Although baseball is the backbone of the story, Gibsonburg is actually more of a coming of age story that deals with many trial and tribulations facing high school students today.

It will be playing starting June 7th exclusively at Atlas Cinemas in the Cleveland area at all locations.
